The Tomb Rider star Angelina Jolie was named the world’s sexiest woman. The 29-year-old beauty topped this year’s list of FHM 100 sexiest women. The most sexy and attractive babes were chosen by more than 15 million of reader’s votes.

"Angelina Jolie embodies everything that our readers find incredibly sexy," Scott Gramling, FHM's chief editor said in a statement. "Not only is she stunning, she is intelligent, outspoken and passionate in her beliefs and well-respected the world over for her tireless efforts on behalf of the world's refugee children."

The last year's favourite Britney Spears wasn't even included in the list. Britney, who topped last year's most sexy list, was replaced by the beauty Jolie, who placed second in 2004. The FHM's editor explaned her absence by her recent marriage to Kevin Federline:

"She was taken off the market. It broke the hearts of men 18 to 35."

The list of "100 Sexiest Women in the World" is published as a supplement to FHM's May issue, and will hit newsstands on April 5.
