22-year-old pop princess Britney Spears formalized her union with Kevin Federline on Thursday and is officially married now.
All the proper paperwork was submitted, said Spears spokeswoman Leslie Sloane Zelnik about the marriage license, reports USA Today. Its all legal. The secret wedding, held on September 18, was called fake due to the absence of the couples marriage license. But, as Federline told People, they held off having a minister sign their license so that their prenuptial agreement, signed just before the wedding ceremony, would hold up in court, as California law requires a 7-day wait after finalizing a couples prenup before they can marry. The marriage license was filed under Californias confidentiality law, so the document will not be made public.
Also on Thursday, Spears manager Larry Rudolph, who discovered 13-year-old Britney and turned her into one of the worlds most successful pop stars, announced that he and Spears had mutually agreed not to renew their nine-year management relationship. He also said the split was amicable, and it was Spears declaration of independence.
