Estonian supermodel Carmen Kass, who was chosen by her country's ruling right wing Res Publica party as one of 12 candidates for the first deputies of the European Union, has almost no chances of being elected, reports AFP. The 25-year-old model has less than one per cent of voters on her side. But despite calling the political career perspective “an opportunity, which I couldn`t miss,” Kass admits that not being elected will not be a catastrophe. "It's the people's choice," she told AFP
However, if elected, she would actively take part in parliamentary work and would combine her two jobs, as top model and politician. Kass, one of the world's most sought after models, says, she would dedicate herself to parliamentary work.
"Estonians have maybe forgotten about me, because I have been abroad for a long time," she told AFP. "But I haven't forgotten about Estonia. I remember where my roots are."
