Despite the reported throat problems that made her cancel her tour, Christina Aguilera is rumored to have insisted on a private jet to fly her to London from her home in California for the opening of the Harrods sale. Following the footsteps of Victoria Beckham and Pierce Brosnan, the singer has made a spectacular appearance to cut the ribbon at the Knightsbridge.
Aguilera, who looked stunning in her Marilyn Monroe style Carlos Miele strapless dress, said before the store opening : "I love having the opportunity and chance to come to London and today I have another reason to be here, for the Harrods' sale. "
"I have heard there are some really good bargains, so good luck shopping."
The 23-year-old diva, whose last album Stripped sold ten million copies worldwide, has reportedly received 200,000 pounds for the Harrods shopping spree opening. Also, according to the British Vogue, the Canadian-born twins, Dean and Dan Caten, who designed costumes for singer's last year world tour, got her to return the favor. Christina Aguilera has made her first catwalk appearance today at the Dsquared2's spring/summer 2005 menswear show.
