Actress Kristin Davis, who starred as pretty, idealistic and naïve Charlotte in HBOs hit series Sex and the City, has signed up with ABC network to star in its one-hour pilot release tentatively entitled Soccer Moms, according to Hollywood Reporter. The show is based on a story of two small-town housewives who team up as private investigators. Don Todd and Maria Ginsburg have written the plot and are acting as executive producers.
Davis, who received an Emmy nomination for appearing in “Sex and the City,” will play one of the housewives-turn-detectives. A spokesperson for Davis has confirmed the agreement.
The 39-year-old Davis has recently finished filming The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D for Robert Rodriguez and is set to appear in Walt Disney’s remake of The Shaggy Dog, alongside Tim Allen.
