Music industry veteran Diana Ross might enter the fashion industry by launching her own clothing label.
The big-haired diva appeared at John Galliano’s autumn/winter 2005- 2006 show for Christian Dior in Paris last week, where she stole all the attention of photographers. Super-stylish in a high-collared coat and black shades, she overshadowed other A-list guests at the event.
The 60-year-old Baby Love star, who is now the face of cosmetic giant MAC, in an interview quoted by the New York Post claimed that she would love to create her own fashion range.
The first step in designing her own styles was made thirty years ago when she helped to create all the outfits for her singer/model role in 1975's Mahogany.
On Tuesday, the singing legend has been awarded a medal from the mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, who paid homage to her "immense talent".
"I love Paris, which symbolizes art, glamour and fashion," Ross told AFP as she was handed the city's top honour in a ceremony in the capital's City Hall.
"The values you espouse, dear Diana, are the values of Paris," said Delanoe.
