Dior Homme designer Hedi Slimane started the iPod fashion fever, informs Fashion Wire Daily. In a world, where everything, from candle to cake, is created by professional designers, its surprising that the sphere of iPod is relatively free. Nevertheless such trade marks as Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Habitual are starting to fill the niche.
However, some designers paid their attention to tech toys that need to be turned to fashion accessories. One of them is Dawn Barger who decided on designing laptop bags.
"Every time I pack my laptop up, I wish I was packing it in something cooler. It doesn't make any sense! I swear, I go shopping and I always, always look for laptop bags. It seems like what's out there is either functional but incredibly boring or totally fashion-foofy," she says. "in girly prints and colors like baby pink. All I want is something functional but elegant. It seems like someone, somewhere should have solved this problem."
Dior is planning on opening it’s Digital Division later this year. It’ll include new iPod cases, cases for memory cards, digital cameras and laptop bags. All these products will be produced under the Dior label. Some fashion critics say that this may also cause the TREO craziness along with the iPod fever.
