A 15-year-old schoolboy from Brechin, Scotland has beaten hundreds of established models to be named as one of new faces of fashion giant Christian Dior. Johnny Hood was spotted by Oxygens Vicky Heath at the the Guilfest music festival in Guildford, Surrey and is about to make his first steps to stardom featuring in an advertising campaign for Diors new denim jeans.
His fresh face, tousled hair and laidback approach to life has impressed the fashion world. Seeing modeling as an opportunity to attract interest from girls and to make some money for university, Johnny said: It was a bit of a shock to be asked if I wanted to do some modelling, but it has been really exciting so far. I had never considered being a model, but I am now realising the benefits that could come out of it.
Diors head designer Hedi Slimane flew Johnny from Scotland to London for the photoshoot.
We are so excited about Johnny and see a very bright future for him as a male model. Theres something about people from these places. They dont always get spotted but because of their upbringing in small towns, they tend to be very at ease and natural, said Dean Clear-Patterson, of Oxygen Model Management in London, reports the Herald.
