The 19-year-old student from LA Eva Pigford has beaten her competitors Amanda Swafford and Yaya Da Costa Johnson in a strife to win the next installment of Americas Next Top Model, judged by Tyra Banks. Eva joins the roster of previous winners which includes Yoanna House, and Adrianne Curry, both landing lucrative contracts and representations by major modeling agencies (IMG and Wilhelmina, respectively).
Pigford, awarded with a $100,000 CoverGirl contract, a spread in Elle Magazine and a contract with Ford Models said after her win:
I am a cover girl. This little tomboy from L.A. that has never been beautiful. I was not the cute girl in school. I came here the shortest and the one that had the most insecurities inside of them, and now Im Americas Next Top Model.
Watch out, world--here comes Eva!
A fourth season of Americas Next Top Model is forthcoming in March 2005 and UPN is currently accepting applications for contestants for season five.
Meanwhile, the shows judge Tyra Banks is getting ready to host her very own talk show, slated to debut next fall.
