2007 Fashion for Passion Competition sponsored by The Art Institutes is underway in the United States.
A scholarship worth up to $70,000, a mention in Seventeen magazine, and a trip to New York Fashion Week are the prizes of 2007 Fashion for Passion Competition sponsored by The Art Institutes.
Winners will be determined by December 20, 2006. Selection and notification of national winners will be made by January 17, 2007. A full-tuition scholarship worth up to $70,000 is offered in two categories: fashion design and fashion
marketing & merchandising.

According to Bruce Dempsey, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for The Art Institutes, the Passion for Fashion Competition was created to encourage young talent at the high school level.
"We created this competition because we wanted to offer talented young people interested in fashion the chance to get a formal education, study their craft, develop their skills, and succeed in this highly competitive industry," he said.
In addition to a full-tuition scholarship, each grand prize winning student receives an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City for Fashion Week where they will spend a day at Seventeen, visit their offices and attend fashion shows. Both students will also be profiled in an issue of the magazine.
