Gap Inc. was recently honored by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) at the annual 30 Best Companies for Executive Women in New York. The criteria were quite high and sophisticated. NAFE evaluated companies for the exclusive ranking, demonstrating commitments to the development and continued success of women in their careers within the company.
"Gap Inc is proud to be recognized as a company that supports the development and advancement of women. At Gap Inc, women represent 70 percent of our employee population and over half of our management team," said Eva Sage-Gavin, Executive Vice President Human Resources, Gap Inc.
NAFE, founded in 1972, is the largest women’s professional and business association in the US. It has its own NAFE magazine, which is monthly distributed to 65,000 members. The top 30 Companies for Executive Women Award was founded in 2002. NAFE is the part of Working Mother Media.
