Yesterday, January 16th, Beverly Hills, California played host to the 62th Golden Globe Awards. Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, who won an Oscar for Unforgiven has been named best director for Million Dollar Baby (starring Hilary Swank), The Aviatorwas chosen for the best film in drama and best score and Sideways was given a Golden Globe for best comedy.

A role in a film about Ray Charles, Ray, won a Golden Globe for Jamie Fox. Annette Bening of Being Julia and Leo Di Caprio of The Aviator were also among the awarded. Natalie Portman and Clive Owen took both supporting actor awards for their roles in Closer.

A lifetime achievement award went to comedian Robin Williams, a five time Golden Globe winner.
