The member of the Irish fourthsome U2 Larry Mullen feels he is too young to be accepted into the RocknRoll Hall of Fame, reports Ireland Online. The band (Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Junior), that formed 30 years ago as Dublin teenagers, have been inducted unto the rock pantheon by Bruce Springsteen during a lavish ceremony at the New York Waldorf Astoria Hotel, marking the 50th anniversary of rocknroll.
But Mullen didn't expect to be honored as accomplished rock star, at least not untill 10 years' time.
"It's a big occasion and you just got to be careful that you don't upset people. But, to be absolutely honest, I would really have liked this maybe 10 years down the line.
"It's a great institution, the Rock 'N' Roll Hall Of Fame, and I'm just not sure that I'm quite ready to accept institutionalisation," said the drummer.
U2 performed five songs, including their famous I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and Vertigo. U2's frontman Bono is currently working on his own altruistic fashion line featuring mostly casual wear for both sexes and Earth-friendly items like T-shirts, made using traditional Incan vegetable dyes.
