This week a range of celebrities converged at the second annual Louis Vuitton United Cancer Front gala, which is staged to raise money for cancer research. Underwritten by the designer, all proceeds from Monday night’s event will go to UCF, the brainchild of Lilly Tartikoff.

“Our intention is to move science forward,” she told AP Television News. “And because these celebrities came out, and because Hollywood’s gotten involved, and the town of Los Angeles, we’ve been able to deliver the first-ever nontoxic treatment for breast cancer.”

The guests, treated to haute cuisine by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, along with a generous supply of Dom Perignon champagne, included the likes of Kirsten Dunst clothed in a white dress over a polo-neck T-shirt, Christina Ricci in a figure-hugging pink and white creation, Kate Bosworth in a strapless beige number, Venus Williams in a green plaid cardigan over a black minidress and her sister Serena impressing the audience with a white skirt and jacket with black detailing.
