Australian singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia hated her looks while being a teenager. As an average teen, the 30-year-old Natalie had an inferiority complex, and was even close to harming herself.
"Everyone finds something about themselves to hate. With me, it's my body, it's something to focus on. I wasn't anorexic. I had my periods of not being nice to myself, but I was never hospitalized," the face of cosmetic giant L'Oreal confessed in an interview according to Contactmusic.com:
"It was more of a mental thing, it was the thoughts that were damaging. Instead of embracing things, you constantly find another way to pick on yourself.
"Now I've turned it into a healthy obsession. I train, I try to eat well. I've taken something that maybe in my teenage years was quite a dark thing and made it into a positive."
According to last year’s reports the singer wanted to stop her singing career because of need to have a vocal cord surgery. But the treatment was successful and Imbruglia is to release her third album Counting The Days on April the 4th after three years’ silence. The Torn star has already shot the video to the new single in Kiev, Ukraine, directed by Jake Nava. The single is to air on March 21, itv.com reports.
