The long-legged model was busted last summer when trying to bring three small bags of cocaine at Kennedy Airport. The Belgian-born Ingrid Parewijck was facing up to 15 years in prison for 2.7 grams of coke, found during the routine inspection in her handbag and pockets.
But the catwalk beauty had an agreement with the court to attend the District Attorney-approved substance-abuse treatment program. Queens Assistant District Attorney Randi Koch-Nir said Monday according to nynewsday.com:
"She has completed all aspects of the program, and she should be very proud of herself."
The case was adjourned for six months by Suzanne Melendez, the Queens Supreme Court Justice, after which the model will be clean if she won't have any law troubles during this kind of a parole.
The cover girl of Vogue and Elle was quoted by the nypost.com as saying: "It's stupid what I've done, and I hope other young girls won't do the same as I have."
"I'm just ashamed. It has influenced my job in a bad way. I just hope I can go back to a normal life and learn from it."
The 26-year-old blonde has modeled for Victoria's Secret lingerie and La Perla, as well as for French perfumer Guerlain and Italian espresso giant Lavazza.
