Actress Isabella Rosselini has been combining her love of dogs with some community work. For the past 10 months she has been training a future guide dog for the blind, a Labrador-poodle mix named Terry. The training involves taking him into restaurants, on the subway, onto movie sets and even to Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The 52-year-old Rosselini says raising the dog has been easy and fun. He didnt chew any Armani shoes, she told the AP. He did chew a little bit of the corner of a coat -- but it was an antique coat, so this just added to it.
The actress enrolled in a Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind as volunteer to raise future guide dogs until they are a year old. Terry will go back to the foundation next month and Isabella will train another puppy – a black Labrador named Midnight.
