Actress and fitness guru Jane Fonda will undergo hip replacement surgery soon. The Oscar-winning actress had to turn down her 50th high school reunion due to the operation. Fonda has already undergone outpatient treatment on her knee on Thursday.
The 67-year-old fitness star also has quite a busy schedule for this spring. The release of her 600-plus-page autobiography “My Life So Far” from Random House is slated for April. Moreover, the actress is planning a big- screen comeback.
Her spokeswoman Pat Kingsley did not mentioned the date of the impending surgery. "I've got her pretty booked up through May, but I don't know what happens after that," Kingsley said, according to Reuters adding that "if she does (undergo a hip replacement), it will be after that."
The 15-year-break for the daughter of movie legend Henry is more than enough, and the next picture after the 1990’s Stanley & Iris with Robert De Niro will be the Monster-In-Law. Fonda will be playing the mother trying to prevent her son’s marriage with Jennifer Lopez in the film comedy. The Coming Home star stopped her acting career just after the marriage to media mogul Ted Turner. The couple have since divorced.
