The People for the Ethnical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and its Vice President Lisa Lange have accused Jennifer Lopez, her record label Sony Corporations Epic Records and her publicist Nancy Ryder, of pressuring the Billboard magazine into not pulishing PETAs full-page advert.
The $5000 advert, that featured a mutilated skinned animal beside an open letter addressed to Jennifer Lopez, was suddenly denied in publication on March 28.
Ryder admits, "I'm doing my job, which is protecting my client. I don't understand why PETA want to meet with Jennifer».
PETA started the campaign against the singer after she “glamourized” fur in her clothing line “Sweetface” presented during New York Fashion Week.
The organization has declared the war on the Latina singer. After the Billboard magazine refused to publish the ad, the unpublished letter was sent to housands of radio stations worldwide.
PETA are also planning the big protest demonstration during J Lo’s movie premiere “Monster-In-Law”.
