The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) continue to protest Jennifer Lopez after the diva showed off her Sweetface collection that featured a lot of fur-encrusted items. The demonstrators showed up at the premiere of J-Los Monster-in-Law displaying posters of fur-clad Lopez that read monster-in-fur. The protestors complained that the singer was asked to stop using fur in her designs, but hasnt.
Asked what she thought of the PETA demonstrators, Lopez responded: "I don't."
The star appeared on the premiere with the new haircut and husband Marc Anthony. On the previous day the couple posed for paparazzi at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
The director of the movie Robert Luketic protected Lopez saying: "Why pick on her? If you go snowboarding in Aspen in the winter, there's fur from here to breakfast."
Dressed in Neil Lane and Fred Leighton jewels and a satin Zac Posen dress J Lo said that she and Anthony “want to support each other as a couple, but at the same time try to maintain some privacy." Jane Fonda – the co-star of Lopez in the film said of the protesters: "I'm not going to be one to say people don't have a right to protest”. Fonda also admitted that she’s planning not use fur anymore, as she doesn’t want to be protested. The actress, who famously spoke against the Vietnam War, was dressed in a gown by Italian designer Blumarine.
Wanda Sykes summed up the whole evening by saying humorously: "This is America. "I love animals. That's why my suit is made out of human flesh."
