The Chanel fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld has become the inventor of the miracle-diet which helped him lose 90 pounds. The main idea of the diet is horse meat, tomatoes and Diet Coke.
However, the truth, which was revealed in his book “The Karl Lagerfeld Diet” appeared to be much more disgusting. The recipes couturier used included tuna and blackberry mousse or calf's liver with wild strawberries.
The book will hit the stores on May 5.
Lagerfeld, whose uncomplementary comments about the weight of British women have outraged millions, admitted vanity was his main reason for going on a diet. He said: "I think that fashion is the healthiest motivation for losing weight."
The designer isn’t afraid of revealing his secrets and the real truth about diet – it isn’t fun: "You have to be a real bore like me for [it] to work," he says.
