Madonna and her film director husband Guy Ritchie outraged Catholic Church by dressing up as a nun and the Pope to celebrate the Jewish holiday Purim. The couple was noticed on their way to the Kabbalah party in London.
The Catholic League President William Donahue accused the pair of disrespecting the Catholic church and said: "It just goes to show you what a moral slug this man (Ritchie) is that he would get dressed up as the Pope at a time like this," - meaning the Pope's current illness.
However, Madonna's spokesman said: "No disrespect was intended." And also added that their suits were a traditional Purim rite.
The Queen of pop is all set to promote her new fifth children’s book in New York this spring. The book’s called: “Lotsa de Casha," and is about the rich man who realizes that money are not that important in this world.
