Famous fashion photographer Mario Testino shot megastar Madonna last week in a London studio for Versace next womens ad campaign which is to come out in February 2005 issues of major magazines, reports Fashion Wire Daily. The team-work of Madonna and Testino represents a major change in style for the House of Versace, as for most of the century it has used Steven Meisel for the most significant shoots, but this is not the first-time. Back in the mid-nineties Versace already used the duo for its campaign.
The decision to favor Testino this time is understood to have been partly based on concern that Miesel, a permanent snapper of US Vogue covers, who regularly shoots loads of ad campaigns for the major houses, has become too ubiquitous in fashion advertising.
A spokesman for the house of Versace declined to make any comment on the new shoot and the fees for it, though some say that Madonna is primarily interested in snatching a new wardrobe from her friend designer
