Fashion guru Marc Jacobs, known for his unconventional fashion designs, now turns to classic in his creations. Mark, also famous for his work with a luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton, now collaborates with the Fossil Inc and Venetia Scott to launch a line of luxury watches.

The new range of must have items will don the name of American designer and will hit the stores next month. The Marc by Marc Jacobs will feature nine styles of oval faces, black grosgrain ribbon straps and diamonds at affordable prices.

Jacobs told in an interview for WWD.com of his new project:

” They liked the idea of a very small watch, something that didn’t look big or sporty. I‘ve seen girls with vintage Cartier watches that I love.

“We all agreed we didn’t want something modern looking. We wanted a kind of old feel to it. All the girls we know wear those kind of things.”

The prices of the upcoming collection are still being determined, but it is known that in fall 2006, Marc by Marc Jacobs watches will be introduced and sold at a price point lower.  

The next line of Marc Jacobs will feature childrenswear, the company’s president, Robert Duffy said: "The next thing Marc and I want to do it just a small, teeny thing of childrenswear. We get requests for our thermals and cashmere hoodies for children so we're developing those now."
