Belgian model Ingrid Parewijck was arrested in JFK airport Saturday night and charged with drug possession after the US customs officials found 3 plastic packages of cocaine in her pocket and handbag during the routine inspection. Parewijck had to spend a few hours in a holding cell before being released without bail.
Parewijck’s lawyer told the judges that the cocaine that the model carried on herself, was for personal use, and not for sale. "It may be just a problem she has regarding drug abuse."
The 25-year-old blond, who now faces up to 15 years in jail, holds a contract with Next models and is currently the face of L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Hommes and Lavazza.
