British stunning supermodel Naomi Campbell is now promoting the UK supermarket giant Tesco. The supermodel appeared on the silver screen in a prime time television ad last night.
Naomi Campbell is advertising the second ad for the Tesco label Cherokee, which accounts for about one-third of Tesco's clothing sales a year. Tesco has the exclusive rights to sell the Cherokee brand in the UK, but also is considering whether it would make sense to buy it out.
Naomi plays a self-parody in the ad. She arrives at a hotel and madly beats down pop-up signs that repeatedly appear to reveal just how inexpensive her outfit is.
"It is completely on a level with the high street fashions," Vogue quoted a spokeswoman for the label.
"The clothes are inspired in the same way as all the most popular labels. The quality speaks for itself though – it's on a par with Gap, or even better, because the supermarket is able to source the best materials."
