Supermodel Petra Nemcova got the classic pin-up twelve-month treatment, launching her first solo 2005 calendar that hit the stores like FYE, Coconuts, Music Land and Borders in the beginning of this month. What makes this calendar special is that all proceeds for it will go to the American Foundation for AIDS Research.

Nemcova will also star in NBC’s upcoming reality show “The Sports Illustrated Fresh Faces Competition,” on which competitors will vie for a spot in the next swimsuit issue.

The 25-year-old Czech beauty has made three consecutive appearances in Sports Illustrated, embellishing the cover of its swimsuit issue in 2003.

“I made a choice to model for magazines like Sports Illustrated where the models are fuller, instead of getting ready for the fashion shows because you have to get so thin and your body really suffers,” says the model, according to New York Daily News. “I don’t like the way I look like that, it’s too heroin-chic, and I don’t like what it does to the body. I think it’s not a good role model for women.”
