Australian movie star Nicole Kidman caused a stampede of photographers when she arrived to the Paris catwalk on Friday to launch her promotional campaign for Chanels No 5 perfume, famous from Marilyn Monroes announcement that it was all she wore in bed.
The ever stunning and elegant 37-year-old star made an appearance wearing a slim black trousersuit with her blonde hair pinned up in curls. The Oscar-winning actress will represent the image of legendary Chanel No 5, starring in a TV commercial conceived, directed and produced by Australian director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge). In the 2-minute film Kidman plays an actress who flees photographers at a movie premiere and ends up romancing a handsome stranger, played by a Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro, reports Reuters. The star will also appear in a print campaign for the notorious fragrance brand, to be released in October, making Chanel hope that such advertising blitz will help it on the all-important Christmas perfume market.
