Luxury brand Nina Ricci is back on the US advertising scene with its ready-to wear ad campaign breaking in the March issues of Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar and Visionaire. The division of Puig Beauty & Fashion Group has advertised the brands perfumes over the years, but this will be the first ready-to-wear campaign since creative director Lars Nilsson joined the Ricci fashion house in 2003.
The campaign features model Polina Kouklina and has been shot by photographer Glen Luchford and stylist Lori Goldstein in new York.
The ads were inspired by the artist Egon Schiele, Nilsson told Womens Wear Daily. It was a modern take on his heroine and it shows that fragile femininity the brand represents.
It was a very selective and very small campaign as there is not a huge budget. But hopefully, as time goes on, it will increase as the business in the U.S. increases, Piug spokeswoman who declined to give the size of the ad budget told the newspaper.
