The former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has joined the roster of anti-aids campaigners. The blonde has signed up to be a spokeswoman for the MAC AIDS Fund. Last year the likes of Christina Aguilera,Missy Elliot,Chloë Sevigny and Linda Evangelista became MAC AIDS Fund spokeswomen.
Boy George joined last spring and was named an “honorary spokesperson” for the fund, WWD reports. The MAC Cosmetics president and MAC AIDS Fund chairman John Demsey is going to give a press conference next week. He is expected to officially present the blond bombshellas as the latest face of MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam campaign to raise money for the company's AIDS Fund.
The Mac AIDS Fund was created 11 tears ago, and have raised more than $40 million up to date. Pam Anderson follows Elton John, Mary J. Blige, RuPaul and other celebrities in her charity participation.
