The star of Woman On Top, All The Pretty Horses and Captain Corelli's Mandolin Penelope Cruz opened her first store in the Salamanca area of Madrid in February, reports the British Vogue. The store is run by the actress’s long-time friend, Mariu Alvarez and sells 10 Californian and European labels, including Juicy Couture, Earl Jean, Petit Bateau and Betsey Johnson.

For now, Cruz is discreet about the store’s first year income, and is keen to keep the information entirely to herself, saying that “It’s too soon to tell.”

The store, owned by the actress labeled “the new Sophia Loren” by the press, is "her kind of store; casual fashion at decent prices," says Mariu Alvarez.

The official launch party for the store is due this fall.
