Rod Steward’s girlfriend, model Penny Lancaster intends to have a discussion with the rocker’s estranged wife Rachel Hunter over finalization of their divorce. While 36-year-old New Zealand supermodel Hunter, who was married to Stewart for nine years and has two children by him, is shooting her TV reality show “Make Me A Supermodel” in London, Lancaster wants to convince her to finally divorce Rod, just to become Mrs. Steward herself. Lancaster has been dating Steward for five and a half years and is ready for more that a girlfriend role.

"She would love to marry him, but as long as he is still wed to Rachel there's no chance of that," an insider told The Sunday Mirror.

However, Hunter's New Zealand agent, Andy Haden, described the Sunday Mirror report as "paper talk" when contacted by NZPA.

Meanwhile, Stewart’s ex, who has graced the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues and is currently an underwear model for the Ultimo bra brand, is preparing to present her primetime show, which is to air in March. The show will feature 12 finalists living together under one roof, observed by fly-on-the-wall cameras. The overall winner, voted by the public, will receive a modeling contract with British agency Select.
