Danish supermodel Helena Christensen revealed her wish to photograph the British Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and his fiancée Camilla Parker Bowles. The marriage is scheduled for April 8th, but had to be moved from the announced Windsor Castle to Windsor Town Hall due to some legal problems.
The model, who was honoured as a style icon at Elle Style Awards made up her mind to take a break from the runway to try to find her place behind the camera. As a part of her alternative career Helena recently shot the ad campaign for national Danish beer company Carlsberg.
Now Christensen considers herself a professional, and wants to shoot the event of the year. Femalefirst.co.uk quoted the beauty as saying: "I've photographed weddings for friends so I'd love to do Charles and Camilla."
But Helena will have to face some rivals like Lord Lichfield who shot Prince Charles’ first marriage with tragically killed Diana, the Princess of Wales, and royal favourite Mario Testino.
"Although traditionalists might baulk at employing Helena, it would definitely tie in with the theme of a progressive, modern wedding - and William and Harry would be keen," an insider also added.
At the same time it has been announced that the design duo from London Anna Valentine and Antonia Robinson are to create the royal wedding dress. According to British Vogue all that the designers said was: "We are thrilled to be asked."
Another famous hat designer Philip Treacy is said to make a wedding hat for Camilla Parker. Irish designer claimed: "As a small child, I loved to watch the weddings… They were the equivalent of a fashion show to me."
