Martha Stewart, who is doing her time in prison for lying to investigators about a stock sale, has celebrated her first Christmas behind the bars. This is the first holiday season that she will have to spend away from home.
I look forward to being home, to getting back to my valuable work, to creating, cooking, and making television, said a message posted by the 63-year-old, accepted by generations of American women as their lifestyle, cooking and homemaking advisor.
Martha has criticized the quality of prison food, saying she would be happier doing washing, scrubbing, sweeping and vacuuming, which are her official prison chores, surrounded by her friends and family in her own home. A lifestyle guru has also called to support reform for non-violent first-time offenders and for drug users which, she said, will benefit more from rehab centers, then prison.
