French fashion house Thierry Mugler has appointed a new menswear designer, a US native Thomas Engel Hart. Hart will replace Luc Testu who has been in charge of Thierry Muggler Homme Line for ten years, reports fibre2fashion.com.

The collection, produced by Italian clothing maker Tombolini, will be expanded to include sportswear.

The fashion house’ s fragrance line has enjoyed a success in France. A March 2004 study conducted by the French Federation of Perfumers ranked Angel by Thierry Mugler first among top 10 luxury fragrances. Launched in 1992, a sensual floral-Oriental scent, encompassed in a pale-blue star-shaped bottle won popularity both in Europe and the US.
